Clintar Supports Professional Development for Women in Industry
Clintar Commercial Outdoor Services is pleased to announce the founding of Women of Commercial Landscaping (WCL). As of September 2018, the newly formed organization will be led by Clintar’s Chief Commercial Officer and recently recognized Woman of Influence, Kimberly Khoury.
The Mission
WCL aims to foster a culture of empowerment, and women supporting women throughout industries which have traditionally been male-dominated, especially at the senior executive level. The association provides an opportunity for professional networking among all women; especially those interested in starting and operating a business in the field of commercial landscaping and snow removal. As an organization, WCL will encourage women to gain confidence in their decision-making, enrich themselves through education, and fulfill their leadership potential in their chosen field.
A Global Movement
Based in Markham, Ontario, WCL is currently planning events across Canada. A global ambassador program is being developed, along with networking sessions that will be led by female keynote speakers.
Building A Future Together
The idea for forming this group began when Khoury was profiled earlier this year by another organization dedicated to the professional advancement of women – Women of Influence Inc. She wanted to empower other women to eventually reach similar success, and share their story about being a part of an award-winning company, or becoming an entrepreneur.

What’s Next
As WCL grows, members will have the opportunity to meet for a variety of formal and informal networking sessions, and educational opportunities led by the association’s ambassadors.
