What motivates you to wake up and go to work?
Knowing that when I enter the office every day I am greeted with positivity from my wonderful co-workers.
What do you do at our company?
I handle all the employee administration functions including, recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, payroll, employee benefits, training, and health & safety.
What has been your favourite project so far?
My favorite project so far has been implementing new processes and updating orientations for new staff members.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
My family owns a farm in Dunnville, Ontario which has been in our family for 55 years. It has recently become my families favourite vacation spot. At our farm we house over 30 sheep, a llama and cute barn kittens.
How do you balance your career and your family/personal life?
Being a single mother of three grown kids does not come without challenges. Time management is something that everyone struggles with but trying to juggle four different schedules is a whole other challenge in and of itself. The best way I manage my time is by making lists of every task I need to complete everyday. This is the most efficient way I have found to manage my busy work/home life.
What advice would you give to other women in the industry?
As this is primarily a male dominated field, do not let this discourage you from being yourself, and most importantly do not let anyone intimidate you. You are here for a reason, so let your skills and work ethic speak for themselves. For women in the 21st century the opportunities are endless, and we must pave our way and leave this world better then we found it.
What does a typical day of work look like for you?
Recruiting new staff, answering questions for existing staff, reviewing time entry data, ensuring all policies are reviewed and in place and looking after the health, safety, and welfare of all our employees.
What are three words you would use to describe Clintar?
Busy, positive, flexible
What do you find most rewarding/challenging about your role?
The most rewarding aspect of my job is when I’m am able to complete a challenging task/project. The most challenging aspect would be navigating my way through the current health pandemic we are living in and making sure I can maintain a safe work environment for my fellow co workers.
If given the chance, who would you be for a day?
I would be my mother who I have always seen as my superhero. To get the opportunity to share her experience of coming to Canada, where she worked as hard as she could so she could give my three siblings and I the best opportunities, would be a blessing.
If you could interview one person (dead or alive) who would it be and why?
Princess Diana. She was a wonderful inspiration to women everywhere. Her work with countless charities was something to be admired. She was a wonderful mother and even though their lives were very public she always carried herself with such elegance, which was so inspiring.
What would you like to be famous for?
I want to be famous for teaching my kids to have a good work ethic and encouraging them to reach their goals.
What inspires/motivates you?
My kids inspire and motivate me to always try my best in every aspect of my life.
We hope you enjoyed learning about Rose! We can’t wait to connect you to more of our wonderful team – so stay tuned.
